September Rolls Around Again..

It's about that time of year again. Re-packing all the stuff I unpacked four months again. I'm undecided on whether to start packing now or leave it to the day before I move back out? Deciding on what clothes are a defiant most and the clothes that can stay at home. How many books are excitable to take with me. And the fact I have to take ALL my art stuff back with me :O Plus deciding if I need to take a last minute trip to IKEA or not. Making sure I have everything I need. This is were the fun of making lists comes into play.
This is my third year of university but only my second year of my degree. I did my zero year which was my foundation year and after that I went into my first year of Illustration. Which leads me to where I am now, my second year.

Doing my foundation in art and design first before starting my degree was the best thing I've ever done. At school I did all my GCSEs & then I carried on through to 6th form to continue with my A Levels. I did three courses: Art, Product Design and Media Studies. As must people in 6th form/college are unsure on what they want to spend three years of their life studying. I had no clue on what I wanted to do. At the beginning I was died set on doing Interior Design but then I started to get into Photography. So I was completely confused! I started looking into doing a foundation course before starting my degree so I could experiment in that year and at the end come out of it with a solid idea on what I wanted to do for the next three years.
A little advice from me, take it or leave it, it's up to you. If you know you want to head in a 'art & design' direction but are unsure in what area you want to go into because there are so many to chooses from, I would recommend to look into doing a foundation before hand. This is my opinion, I'm not saying everyone should do one. If you have a good idea of that you want to do then go for it.
With me I wanted to be dead set on what I was passionate about and what I could see myself enjoying for the next three year and of course what I wanted a career in too. I little detour on what this post was about.
