Floral Beauty..

I've finally got my printer back from my uni flat and I thought I'd show you the scanned version of the Isla Fisher illustration I was working on a couple weeks ago. The image I used was taken at the The Great Gatsby premiere.

Summer Sketchbook..

I mentioned in a previous post that we have a chance to create are own project over the summer. I said I'm basing my project around fashion (illustration) but I have no clue what I what to focus on yet. I'm just messing around with it at the moment really. I thought I'd share my sketchbook work with you, as I go along. I've taken up the dining room table with all my stuff. This is only till I finish my room off and buy myself a desk. I think I've overcome my fear off blank pages, hopefully. I'm working a lot with magazines at the moment for picture references/sources and I've found quick a few fashion illustrators at I really like.

I'll be posting more frequently now. One or twice a week hopefully, with up to date sketchbook work or other bits and bobs.

P.S. I'm trying to find some street style blogs to follows if anyone knows any, please leave a link to the blog in the comments section.

Work In Progress..

Just thought I'd post a work in progress I'm working on at the moment. I got inspired to illustrate the beautiful Isla Fisher from the The Great Gatsby premiere. I'll posted the finish version once I've got my printer from my uni flat so I can scan it into my computer and work with it in photoshop.

It's That Time Of Year Again..

Yet again this year is going to quick for me. Today I handed in my portfolio with every project I've done this semester. Can I say I'm a second year yet? Once I handed in everything, I thought to myself 'what am I going to do now?'. We have been given a chance to create our own summer project to do while we have nearly three months off. I'm thinking of basing my project around fashion but have no clue what to focus on yet.
Yesterday I got inspired by the sneak peek the clothing company Edge of Urge posted of their new May lookbook. I drew it out with fine liner first and used the image from their instagram page as my reference. Then I worked with it in Photoshop by added a separate image to the clothing of the model. I posted it on my instagram page and Edge of Urge actually liked and comment on the post! I'm quite shoked :O

What do you think? Something I should do more of? If you want to see a bigger version on the final piece head on over to my facebook page, which I'll link below with the links to Edge of Urge store and other social pages they have!!
